XBOX S more powerful CPU and GPU.

With The XBOX ONE S being more powerful then the original XBOX ONE.Does this affect older XBOX ONE games framerate? if the CPU is better it will help with load times.

I was thinking some of this was interesting.

So while the X1 gets 204GB/s to the GPU and 30GB/s to the CPU with low latency the PS4 gets 176 to the GPU and 20 to the CPU with high latency. Everyone is making a big deal about the GDDR5 (mostly due to lack of knowledge) but the funny fact is the xbox
360 gets 268GB/s to its GPU which is more bandwidth then the PS4 and the X1. Yet nobody says the 260 is the more powerful then the PS4 or X1. (further proof it isn't all about the RAM) it did this using GDDR3 RAM (yup 360 has GDDR RAM) and 10MB eDRAM. the
PS3 uses 256MB of XDR Ram for its CPU (which is a high performance RAM up to 230GB/s with a low latency and another 256 of GDDR3 RAM for its GPU.

TLR the Ram bandwidth is as follows 360, PS3, X1, PS4 so next time someone tries talking about RAM making the PS4 more powerful, they are basically saying that the 360 and PS3 are more powerful then the next gen versioins

 

Why did Microsoft choose DDR3?

Honestly Microsoft is smart. Gddr5 is only for gpu purposes not CPU. And xbox one is clocked at 853 MHz while ps4 is clocked at 800 MHz. And ddr3 is for CPU purposes. Xbox one is a better console over all and more powerful.

 

I don't think the Xbox S hardware had an upgrade from the original Xbox one, I think it was the Project Scorpio that had mentioned to have an upgrade. of course don't take me up on that as I may have missed the very start of the E3 briefing due to
college times. I did notice that they essentially doubled the current best drive space from 1TB to 2TB which is a really nice upgrade as I cannot fit enough games in my library to save my life. as for your question, if the Xbox S was to have these essential
upgrades then yes it should affect the games frame rate, as for graphical quality it is possible but that is on the developers hands to allow the game to check the hardware before deciding the best quality for the game to run on.

no, the xbox one S is NOT faster. if for any reason that changes, it wont make any difference.

The xbox one s is better but not by much.

For games like Halo 5 and Gears 4 performance would be better but noone knows by how much.

 

I think the only real visual difference with the Xbox One S is that it can display in HDR - but your TV needs to be able to support this.
