    Xbox Rewards not recognizing I have gold membership


    Hi

    I've just logged into my Xbox Live Rewards account and noticed that I'm getting the non-gold reward rate:

    But I am subscribed to Gold already... I had to contact support a couple of days ago because my account was showing as not being subscribed to Gold (I couldn't download this month's GwG, and was being shown non-gold sale prices in the store. This was resolved
    over the weekend, but not sure if this is somehow related? I can't remember the last time I logged into the rewards page to know whether this has been an issue for a while or not.

    Can anyone advise if there's a solution?

    Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, as stated in our FAQ:

    —My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    Hello SinFluxx,

    After reviewing your account, we see that you had a renewal on the first of this month. Our program takes up to 96 hours to receive and process new information, so at the time you checked your Rewards page, we had not yet loaded your new subscription from
    your renewal. We see that this subscription has now been received, and you are again back at your correct Gold status. Apologies for any confusion.

    Error in gold status

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

    Will remaining Live Gold Trial days be added to a new gold subscription and can I get Reward points with a trial?

    As per the Xbox Live Rewards FAQ, trial memberships may not be eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. See here: "Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership,
    we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member."

    Purchasing an Xbox Live subscription while on a trial SHOULD add the remaining days of the trial to your subscription. I'm not 100% certain on that though.
