Xbox rewards 5000pints card

Hi i bought a 5000points card on Xbox rewards and i thought it was for buying games but didnt get anything and dont even know what it is can i return it or something. Or how do i get it and use it and what is it.

Oh and the other question was how do I confirm that the game I'm pre-ordering is the digital version? Is there a way to tell?

lol But I'm having a hard time understanding their current promotion for "Games on Demand Punch Card" where you get 15,000 reward points if you buy 3 games before June 30th.

I just ordered my first Xbox One S console, not a previous owner and was going to take advantage of this reward by pre-ordering some games I want to get for when my xbox arrives in September.

Are all games currently available for pre-order eligible for this? I don't want to order games and find out it wasn't eligible. Is there an easy way to tell which are games are eligible and how do I confirm that I'm pre-ordering the digital versions? I'm assuming when pre-ordering digital versions, I'll be able to download them in the future once I receive my console?

That would be for rewards credits. If it has been 96 hours since you redeemed them, they should show as pending on the Rewards site. They will be deposited onto your Microsoft account as currency by the following 15th or 30th of the month after you received
them and then you can use the currency towards digital purchases.

From the FAQ on Vault Credits:

I claimed Rewards Credits from the vault. When will I receive them?

If you claim Rewards Credits from the MyVIP Vault, they should appear as pending in your account within 96 hours. Once they are pending in your account, the normal deposit process kicks in. Generally if you have over 5,000 Rewards Credits pending in your
account in the first half of any given month, that amount will be converted to your local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 30th of that same month. If the Credits show as pending in the second half of the month, that amount
will be deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 15th of the next month.

Please note you need at least 5,000 Rewards Credits pending to automatically trigger a deposit, though you can request a deposit for the next scheduled date as long as you have 1,000 Credits pending. Also, if you have ongoing issues with us depositing
into your account, such as your account not matching up with your billing location, you might want to consider choosing a different prize from the vault, as we won’t be able to deliver your Rewards Credits until the deposit issue is resolved.
