Xbox Reset

Hi,

Last night we had a power outage and today we cannot get the xbox one to connect to the internet. All other household devices are connecting to wireless internet perfectly. Any ideas? Do we needto reset the Xbox and if so how do we do this?

We're trying to access Fortnite and it will let us get to a certain point and then says we have no internet connection but we do?

 

Try resetting your router. There should be a button on it somewhere that you hold for a few seconds to reset it.

If you have tried basic trouble shooting try:

Selecting settings,

Network

advanced settings

alt mac address

Clear

Reset console

This will clear off your routers settings and restore them to your xbox. This should fix the issue if its your Xbox that is not responding. If you still cannot connect, you will need to power off your router for no less than 5 minutes. Unplug your router
and modem unless you only have one box. Remove the power plug wait 5 min and connect the modem first. Wait for the modem to set up. Then connect the router and let that set up. This is a proper network reboot.

Select Settings on the xbox

select power n startup

turn off n restart

Restart now



Try these 2. Your Xbox needs 7 settings off your router while all of your other devices use 3. If one of these settings aren't coming through clearly your Xbox could be rejecting the connection. Please reply if we can help!
