Xbox reporting is ridiculous

Xbox reporting is fundamentally broken. Even if someone does deserve a suspension they just make a new account in seconds which they can say whatever they like with no punishments. This system is abused by trolls who message you, baiting you, then report
you.

A much more intelligent solution would be to implement a sensitive option. (Obviously not call it sensitive because sensitive people would cry.) Anyway people who have the sensitive setting on can't recieve messages from people without the setting on. Furthermore
people without it on can't report or be suspended for voice or messaging communication.

Creating a fun community for all, not just for cry babies.

You dont have to respond to trolls. There are many ways to protect yourself from this happening, as already documented in responses. The rules and guidelines are there to protect all. In extreme cases the enforcement team does issue console bans. They
can and do track those that open multiple accounts and break the rules from the same console. We often see this happen.

So, "sensitive" gamers can't receive messages from "un-sensitive" ones, but you seem to forget that messaging is used far more widely than for just insults/trolling/etc. What if i just have to send a message in order to communicate or give my feedback on
something? What if i just have to write "sorry my mic isn't working" ?

It doesn't seem a great solution imho. Much better solution is: do not tolerate "toxic" behaviour whatsoever, it doesn't matter how deeply/badly you affect those you write to, if they are cry babies as you call 'em or really really tough guys. We're playing
games, you don't need to be a d#*k, it's that simple. ;-)

The best thing actually is to use the system the way its meant to be used and report the person that is "trolling", Block them so you wont be matched up with them anymore, and mute them so you wont receive messages from them anymore.

And if they just go and make a new account then you can change your settings to only receive messages from people that are on your friends list and then you know who you are talking to.

The enforcement team also does have access to console information and if they see a lot of new accounts being made after suspensions on the same console then they can suspend the console itself from being able to get online no matter what profile is signed
into it and whether any of the profiles have a suspension on them or not.

The system isn't perfect, but when used correctly it can be useful. For the most part people get suspended for legit reasons. Plus if the offense is bad enough or frequent enough, they can ban the entire console.
