    XBOX REMOTE PLAY NOT WORKING


    I wanted to use the remote feature today and even though I'm connected already and have tested all my connections it still does not connect. I even restarted my console moved it closer to the router and still nothing even tested remote play and it was enabled. Also, on the Xbox app it said my console was on so I for sure know it's connected properly. It worked before December and currently it's December 19, 2023 and since the latest patch on the 13th it has just not worked. I'm not sure if it's the console or the app itself but it needs to fixed fast.

    Yes, I agree. This is similar like remote play (app is the same). In the old xbox companion app for remote play you can use 4 controllers to remote play but unfortunally we canot use old xbox companion app with xbox series.

    Why is there an xbox companion app and an xbox app for PC? Just put all the features in one app.

    Two different things one companion app is a front end to your xbox for remote play

    Xbox app is storefront for pc and remote play and cloud play

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with Remote play.

    Your Xbox may not be in "Sleep" mode, which is necessary for remote play capabilities, or you may not have enabled the remote features in your console settings if "remote play" is not available. Check your console settings under "Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features" to ensure it's enabled
