XBox Remote Play Not Functioning

On 5/17/2022, in the early morning, remote play was working just fine. Then during the afternoon, it stopped working and I could not connect to my XBox. I actually called support and spoke with someone yesterday afternoon, and we went through ALL the steps (reset modem, repair/reset XBox Companion App, Power Cycle, sign in/sign out). I can verify that both the XBox and the Companion App are signed into the same account (DarthSeverus71). I can confirm that both the XBox and the Companion App are logged onto the same 5G wifi network in my home. And yet, as of this morning, I cannot access my XBox from my windows PC.

I tried adding the device through the Companion App, and it can't connect. I tried using the IP address of the XBox when it's turned on, and the Companion App states that no device with that IP Address can be found on the current network.

What happened? Why can I not access my XBox remotely from my home office when the PC is on the same network, I'm signed in with the same user name, and I am not having internet issues on any other device in my home?

I understand your frustration, but you already did all the troubleshooting steps that the Xbox Support told you. It's a bug hapenning with other users and there's not much we can do about it besides reporting it to Microsoft developers to fix it.

I got the answer from the admins on the Discord site. I needed to switch to the XBox App and stop using the Console Companion App.

You can try to wait for an update from Microsoft, or you can submit a feedback to inform Microsoft developers about the bug:

- Go to Start, search for Feedback Hub.

- Enter the details of your issue/the bug.

- Press Submit.

No as that function wasn't .available for xbox 360 only remote access would be smart glass or the discontinued media center

Not to mention the runtimes aren't compatible

You can play via remote play via xbox one or higher or cloud
