Xbox Remote Play Lag

Same issue, not resolved just given up hope like the rest

Edit: read in another forum switching to a PS4 controller fixes. Unfortunately cannot confirm. Tried a elite controller instead and same issue.

Also noticed issue on some games but not others, some AAA work fine with remote play with my setup but other AAA have super lag renduring unplayable. Also noticed with controller connected directly to Xbox and Xbox to non-remote play TV it lags the same as the other TV connected to remote play indicating not a connection issue.

if you want to play on the Xbox you would probably need to install the game(s) on the Xbox in your office.

you might be able to use Network Transfer to copy the data across.

go to Settings > System > Backup & Transfer.

or, if you have a PC or laptop, you could sign in to the Xbox Companion app on the PC, connect to the Xbox and stream the game that way.

it might be possible to play remotely by streaming the game on Mixer and using remote play but that can have a fair bit of lag as it goes through Mixer's servers

I have the same issue, I am hardwired for both Xbox and PC- I remote play in the same city. But the pixelation blocking is horrendous- I've tested my networks and have met and exceeded the requirements for remote play (According to Microsoft's own Proprietary tests in app). My latency has very low jitter and averages 15-35ms per Pingtest.com, SO I still do not understand why typically launching remote play on my laptop through the xbox app has such a hard time. I hope this issue is being looked into, I know cloudgaming works fine typically suffering only in terms of input lag. But through the xbox app on both my phone and laptop- i find remote play to suffer greatly in terms of picture quality. To the point of unplayability, we need real solutions!

Firstly, I am unable to check if this happens on the Xbox app, as I do not have a modern smartphone somehow.

I have an external USB drive to store gameplay recordings, but that's it.

All of the time, my Xbox says everything to do with network is in check.

Yes, I've set it to sleep. I often use the console for remote playing.

Just an additional note: I don't use the official Xbox app when I do remote play, since it fails to connect most of the time, and when it does, it does a resolution higher than needed with lots of input lag. I use an app called "Xbplay". This shouldn't impact any remote features, but it does use remote features. This may or may not be a factor of the issue.
