Xbox remote play constant black screen while streaming

I'm having the same issue on Windows 11 Xbox App, tried everything that people said here, but still black screen after the spaceship. Streaming works fine on my iPhone. Something curious is that even if its a black screen I can still hear the xbox sounds and games, but only the black screen is the issue...

Yep. Seems to be a widespread problem. The only solution is to turn your TV on before streaming. If the TV is on it works flawless.

I really hope they come out with a fix because I don't want to have my TV on when I stream remotely. Defeats the purpose.

But on the bright side, I just found 2 days ago that the xbox streaming app has been updated.

and now it can FINALLY remote play to the xbox app WITHOUT turning on the tv at all.

woohoo.

such a very nice qol improvement that's much needed that should be there from the beginning.

it's very very nice feeling remote play to the xbox now as it's with the ps5.

I dont know if the xbox app would be fixed, but please dont degrade the xbox streaming app, keep the quality of this feature please.

Im having this same issue when remote playing to ios device or my microsoft surface. Does anyone know why this happens? Or how exactly to combat it?

This is EXACTLY how my system is set up. Sound is working perfectly but the video is flashing. Not a constant flash but mainly a black screen then as if the HDR mode keeps resetting, the banner in the upper right corner of the screen signifying hdr has
initialized will get brighter, image that should be showing on screen will appear for a split second and then back to black screen all while the atmos sound never waivers.
