My friend from australia gifted me a code for warframe. I live in America and whenever I try to redeem it, it says “contact the seller to get a code that works in your region.” I tried changing both the region and location to australia to fix it but am
still unable to use the code. I need help on how to get a new working code or refunding my friends money.

Sorry you wont be able to redeem since you are not in the same region as friend. Before gifted purchases it does talk about region. Not sure if they do refunds for this and I know their not going to exchange the code for one in your region.

Xbox gifting is region locked, which it would have told your friend before he sent the gift, so there's no way to redeem the code unless you're in Australia also. Your friend would need to see if he can submit a refund request for the purchase.

if you cannot set hungary up as an xbox one region then you can't redeem it on the Xbox one

As someone already posted he cannot select hungary as a language it's means it's not a Xbox one region

Xbox one languages are region independent but not Xbox 360 games and yes gears 3 is one of the few that check for language regions

Well first what region are you in

If you don't live in an Xbox live region it won't work regardless as you need to live in an Xbox live region

Windows /,office regions are different then xbox

And if you set your account to a non Xbox region and create an Xbox account you have to select an Xbox live region and you have to have an valid payment option from an Xbox live region
