Xbox refuses to update or download games

I have factory reset my xbox (multiple times), I have power cycled my wifi (multiple times), I have tried wired and wireless connection, wifi works fine with everything else, I have tried soft and hard resets of the console, I have tried signing in and out, I have tried clearing the mac address, I have tried changing the DNS setting, NAT type is open, I have tried clearing local saved games, and yet my console refuses to download anything. My wifi works, all other devices can connect fine. Even the xbox can connect and use online features. It simply refuses to move past 0% when downloading, and if it does, it promptly stops and refuses to start up again no matter the wait. I’ve had this issue all week with no solution in sight.

I had the same problem and I did everything you had mentioned. I unplugged my modem and let it reset. Plugged it back in and now everything is back to normal. I did not think it was my modem or anything related to the modem because all other devices worked just fine. But resetting the modem worked for me.

Since you have a disc drive, you have a One S.

If you look at it, is it downloading an update? Try installing and refusing the update. Install the update after the game has installed by starting the game.

If it is a game update you are referring to, you can clear your cache and either re-download or refuse the update.

If you are using a disc,try installing your game to see if there are any faults on the disc.

I had a similar issue with Ticket To Ride in the Xbox app on PC. Just refused to update - I uninstalled the game, restarted my PC then downloaded it all again and it worked like a treat. Maybe try that?

My internal is empty like 700gb out of a T and my external has 2.4 outta 4T. It keeps telling me intallation stopped.
