Xbox Refunds And Ambassdor Program

Hey,

About the refunds resetting at the turn of the new year, this is incorrect (to my knowledge and experience).

I was at my refund limit as of June last year, and just tried refunding an accidental purchase with no success. It was denied almost immediately, which I was a little disappointed with.

If I am somehow incorrect on this or someone finds information on this, feel free to correct me.

Can't say I'm surprised by that. Everything else on the Microsoft website resets on the Anniversary of the action...for example, you get a new Console Home Switch exactly a year after the first one was used, a second a year after the second one was used and so on

If you hit your limit in June, then I'd expect it to either reset in June or on the anniversary of the first one used.

Regarding the second question, it depends on whether you were an Ambassador and got removed for an Enforcement action, in which case you can never rejoin.

If you have never been an Ambassador, then I believe it needs to be at least 12 months from the Enforcement action before you can apply

Edit: From the Xbox Ambassador's page:

"What it takes to be an Xbox Ambassador

Becoming an Xbox Ambassador is easy as 1, 2, 3 – no really, it is. There are just three requirements you must meet to be accepted into the program.

• Be 17 years of age or older
  
• Have a Gamerscore 1500 or higher
  
• Have no enforcement actions on your Xbox Live account within the last year"
  

So, from my understanding, if you had an Enforcement action on your account in, say, April 2021, then you wouldn't be able to apply till April 2022

Ambassadors are not employees of Microsoft and we are only volunteers who are here to help when/if they can. Unfortunately, there are people who have joined the ambassdor program for the wrong reasons and set a really bad example for the rest of us. So on
