Nothing to worry, it is still possible to have your refund approved. The next best option you have is to dispute the refund decision by the Xbox refund webform team.

In order to dispute the decision, you need to reply to the refund email result and help the Xbox refund webform team understand that your refund should be granted because the game purchased was the wrong version. Also, make sure to explain everything in full detail for them to investigate the case better.

No worries, I had a similar case before where my refund request was denied and I had it approved after I disputed the results via email.

After disputing the results, you will receive an update from the Refund webform team within 72 hours.

I've found it rather difficult to get refunds from Microsoft and have had to file disputes with my credit card company. You'll need a new card after a dispute to continue using one too.
