    xbox rapidly turns on and off for a few seconds and then shuts off


    my xbox one has been completely fine recently until i tried to boot it up this morning and the power on and off noise was going off rapidly and the power light was flickering on and off, this happened for a few seconds until it shut off again. I’ve tried cleaning the ventilation area and unplugging everything, leaving it for a few mins, etc, but nothing seems to be working and it seems impossible to be able to do any kind of reset. has anyone else had this problem ?

    Hello Liminalwolf, besides having disconnected the control completely, have you tried plugging it into another electrical outlet and another TV if possible, or even test it on another outlet but without being plugged into a TV just to see if the console stays on?

    If you have already done this, the ideal thing is to send your console to microsoft warranty because it seems to have some electrical problem.

    Then in MORE DETAILS, look to request repair, Start Online Service.

    Do a power cycle turn off the xbox holding the button for 30 seconds then after it shut off wait a few minutes then turn it on, it should stop the game from freezing

    yes. i just shut my xbox off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. problem solved for me.
