Whenever I hop into a call with my friends on Xbox, there’s usually a high chance I cannot hear them or they cannot hear me. The reason for this is Xbox says “your privacy settings prevent you from communication. The thing is, it only happens to me, and sometimes leaving the party or resetting their Xbox fixes the issue. This only happens to me. Sometimes my friends cannot hear me, and sometimes I cannot hear them.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check privacy settings. Do this on the Xbox by pressing the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to Profile & System > Settings > Account > Privacy & Online Safety > Xbox Privacy > View Details & Customize > Communication & Multiplayer.

Make sure that "You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text" is set to "Everybody" and "You can join cross-network play" is set to "Allow"2.

And then test NAT type. Go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Test NAT Type. Make sure that your NAT type is "Open." If it's "Moderate" or "Strict," it can cause communication issues. You may need to adjust your router settings to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play).

Next is to perform a full power cycle of your Xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds to turn it off, unplugging it for a few minutes, and then restarting it.

Then update Xbox and Controller Firmware. Kindly make sure that your Xbox console and controller firmware are up to date. Go to Settings > Devices & Accessories to check for updates.

Its when joining party chats it will randomly kick me out of the game bar, no error messagss.

My friends and I have moved away from Xbox ONE's party chat and used Skype instead as you can have this running in the background (no, it doesn't need to be snapped either) and you never have to worry about party chat ever turning itself off randomly.

I do not want this. Party Chat, maybe, easier friend invites, no. It's counterproductive to the co-op of the game and would prevent people from having help as readily available.
