Xbox privacy settings

Hello Xbox Support, hello community,

Im not sure if this is the right plattform to post this but here is some sort of an open letter to microsoft.

I am an active gamer who is playing on a regular basis and i have a complaint on the behaviour of todays community.

It is a real problem when you get frustrated by messages from "dissapointed" random teamplayers.

Getting frustrated on a device where you only expect to get good entertainment or fun from.

Playing a competitive online multiplayer game like Rainbow Six Siege for example, brings those problems with it.

Everything is save and sound until you dont perform exactly like your random teammates expect you to.

If you dont perform well, mean messages are what follows next.

"Noob", "You are bad", "Stop playing R6", are the classic messages you receive.

I dont take stuff like that personal but i would lie if i say it would'nt spoil my gaming experience.

As a hobby gamer, you cant perform on a high peak all the time, there are also bad days and that is legit.

Messages like those mentioned are poison to ones gaming mind, it spoils the game and gaming itself.

And here is where microsoft has a lack of options in its privacy settings.

I think it is a mature problem that anyone can send you messages.

i mean i get that this a wanted feature, to connect players i guess but the latest events showed me that there must be another way.

i would wish to get a possibility to activate a setting where you cant receive messages from anyone until both accepted a friend request.

Facebook supports this feature for example.

I wish this feature would also be implemented for Xbox too, this could reduce the amount of "frustrating" messages lot.

I hope you take this into account.

hello i have had the same problem whit my account and found a fix

What i did was use 2 emails both whit an xbox account on it and then make them park of the same "Microsoft family" this will allow you to set youre main xbox account/email to a adult witch allows you to chance all youre privicy settings on youre xboxlive
account

If it says that you need to change your privacy settings when you go into a party you were communication banned, and need to check for a message from Xbox Live reguarding your suspension. Changing your privacy settings wont actually work.
