    Xbox power supply. 110 vs 220


    I’m a newbie to gaming, and a bit of an idiot when it comes to electricity. I’m in Iraq at the moment, and bought an Xbox one to help kill the boredom of my down time. I plugged in the power supply to a 220 outlet and blew out the power supply. I assumed the power supply was dual voltage. Never assume, as they say, and then realized the power supply was only 110v. I found a local vendor that can get me a 220v power supply. My question is if the Xbox one I received had a 110v power supply, will the game station itself be ok if I plug a 220v power supply into it?

    I don’t know the power voltage on Iran, but according to some search it’s 220V - 50Hz
    If you a have the OG Xbox one (the one with the external power brick)
    You need to get a power supply with that specifications

    By the way, from where did you get this console?
    You can check the power specifications in the label at the back of the console

    you can also buy a wall plug converter/adapter so you can use american appliances in europe.

    This thread is over a year old.It's always best to start your own thread.

    Again,you would need to buy the correct power brick for the country you are in.Just make sure you don't buy a 3rd party power brick,you need an official Microsoft one.
