    don’t know why this happens but when I plug the power cord into the wall the light turns on but as soon as I plug it into the Xbox the light turns off my Xbox won’t turn on. Can anybody tell me why this happens please.

    Try the troubleshooting steps regarding sudden turn off, if you still have that issue you can file for repairs.

    None of the Xbox things are explaining what’s happening because I don’t know if it’s my Xbox or my power cord. The power box is completely fine and turn it on and plug it into the wall, but is soon as I plug it into the Xbox the light on the power box

    replace the figue 8 power cable before you short it out and destroy the xbox.

    I'm not sure if they would cover acts of dog. What I would recommend is calling phone support to find out if they would replace it or if you would need to purchase a new one.
