Xbox Please, allow image adjust settings in the Xbox One.

I just got a very good 4K VA monitor and I'm terribly disappointed with how the Xbox image quality is as there is no option to calibrate the gamma, contrast, brightness, color, etc that my One X is sending to it. Using it with my computer is amazing, dark
colors are great, contrast is awesome... But I am totally unable to get decent contrast in the One X as I just can't calibrate the signal output. The only way I can get "proper" blacks is setting the console to PC RGB, then limiting the monitor to limited
RGB (16-235) and crush the blacks, getting deep contrast but also destroying a wide range of dark pixels.

It is just absolute nonsense to not be able to adjust the image. The only way to get a proper image nowadays in a console which has been for seven years in the market, is only playing real HDR games in a very good HDR screen, like OLED or with any kind of
very precise local dimming. I just got a >500$ not-HDR monitor with one of the best 4K panels available just to find out that the Xbox is just not letting it develop is true capacities. Actually I turn my Xbox off and plug my PC to watch Netflix to be able
to get a good image.

I agree with what Xbox Ambassador annix has said. Whilst people wanting to console game on monitors is not a new thing, there has been a rise due to more competitive style games now becoming the popular choice for gamers. Xbox have acknowledged this by adding
the option for higher refresh rates across 1080P and 1440P, but at 4K the HDMI port is what is limiting the console. It is a welcome step in the right direction and hopefully the team will expand as there is demand for monitor gaming.

I do think with the next gen there will be greater support and features for monitor support as there are gaming news sites that have reported Phil Spencer saying he wants Xbox to focus on frame rates over resolutions. Most tv sets do not have high refresh
rates, so I can only assume these reports are aimed at monitor users.

I know this doesn’t solve your issue now but it is worth being optimistic about and that 4K VA monitor should be relevant for many many years to come

Is it normal for devices to have gamma control on their side? To me that's always been a control that's been 100% on the display. Also, the biggest pitfall right now of gaming monitors for the One X is that the majority of them only support their top tier
features over display port, because they only have HDMI 2.0 ports. Once more monitors mupport HDMI 2.1 this will be less of an issue since it supports way more than display port does, but for now gaming monitors monitors unfortunately don't deal with HDMI
that well. Can you tell us what specific momitor you're having this problem with?

Are you allowing 3D in the settings menu on the Xbox One -

Unfortunately you need a xbox 360 for this..or adjust your parental settings in the emulator

To allow it blocked premium content is a parental settings issue

You would either need to make adjustment on your 360 and or in the emulator under settings

And no Xbox one parental setting don't apply to 360

sometimes you may have to adjust your settings on Xbox even if you are of age, Please visit:
account.xbox.com/.../Settings , then you should be able to manage your Xbox One settings and make sue that it is allowing you to add friends.
