xbox play anywhere titles not working on my laptop

So I bought Forza Horizon 4 and installed it on my laptop (MSI GP62 7RD). When I tried running it, it only shows the title screen then exits the program. Tried running State of Decay 2 which has been working fine up to when I last played online with my
kids about 2 months ago. Hardware is fine as all my Steam titles still run perfectly, even on Ultra settings. Anyone else ever encountered this problem, and know how I can fix it? Have done all the obvious things like ensure all drivers are up to date, uninstall
and re-install titles, disable antivirus, etc, etc. Please help!!!

Re-core and Ark obtained but do not appear in my xbox one games...

Not all Xbox One titles are available for Play Anywhere. ReCore is one of those titles, which explains why you are able to access it on your PC. For details on how Play Anywhere works and for upcoming titles, check out

Forza Horizon 3 Physical copy does not allow Play Anywhere functionality

I preordered/purchased the Physical Copy of Forza Horizon 3 and found that the Play Anywhere functionality did not work when I purchased a new laptop at the microsoft store last week and was unable to utilize the play anywhere function.

Is there anyway to play on my laptop without having to buy the game again?

If the code is for the console version of the game, then the game would only work on a console. If it is the PC version, then it should work on your laptop. Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title so it will only work for the platform it is purchased on.

If the games were bought for the console, you would have to see if they are Play Anywhere titles. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere If they are, you can redownload them through the Microsoft Store or Xbox app on the laptop. If they are not, you would need the PC version of the games in order to play them on the laptop.

Just for clarification, you are talking about from the Windows store correct?

"Play Anywhere" titles are for both PC and console. You just haventommake sure it lists Windows 10 as a title and it would work on your laptop.

Hi,

The Windows 10 edition is for Windows devices such as a laptops or desktops.

For the xbox you will need to have the xbox version of Minecraft.

Only play anywhere (www.xboxplayanywhere.com) can be installed on both PC and Xbox.

Unfortunately Minecraft isn't on the list of play anywhere titles.
