    Xbox Play Anywhere Expansion


    Hello,

    I’m starting this thread to simply reiterate the need to expand Xbox Play Anywhere. Conceptually, Play Anywhere is possibly the best and most consumer friendly thing that Xbox has ever done. Unfortunately, so few games are Play Anywhere titles especially 3rd party and older games like Skyrim or Tainted Grail. I know that Xbox has been slowly adding to Play Anywhere, but I hope that this message might encourage Xbox to continue to do so, especially for older and 3rd party titles. If any Xbox employees read this, thank you for your time and consideration.

    I am hopeful that Play Anywhere will become more of a thing with next gen, hopefully through the further expansion of GamePass Ultimate / GamePass for PC. Play Anywhere is one of my favourite Xbox features, even if I've only used it a few times.

    Hi Steel630, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that the game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere which means that the expansion that you have purchased on Xbox will only be available on the Xbox console, if you would like to play it on your PC you will be needing to re-purchase the PC version of the expansion.

    3. The expansion drive is actually very fairly priced. You won't find the same tech much cheaper anywhere else.
    Of course I can't find the same tech anywhere else, microsoft is locking it to SeaGate only, which is extremely frustrating.

    The Expansion Drive is just "normal" storage in a specific case, certified for Xbox. So even if you could plug a random SSD with the same specs into your Xbox, it would still cost you the same amount of money.

    Oh I see.. Do you have any idea as to if/when sunbreak will also appear in the play anywhere list? As its quite literally just an expansion and not a completely separate title? If not then thank you anyway for the information.

    I'm sorry but as I have checked, the game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere game which means that the licenses on PC and Xbox are different, this includes DLCs, expansions, etc.
