Xbox Play Anywhere between 2 PC

Hi everyone! Recently I bought a laptop since I only have desktop. My question is, can I install a game from Gamepass that has Play Anywhere enabled for it, and use the savegame that I have in my other PC? or does it work only when the platforms are different between them? I mean, can I install Forza Horizon 5 in both PC and use the same progress or should I install in one of them, and use xCloud in the other one?

As long as you're using the same account you'll be able to use the same save on both.

Probably not. Xbox play anywhere is between PC and Xbox.

You can the game both on xbox and PC. In addition, the save data should be able to work between both of the platforms. As long as the game is play anywhere. Some games are separate titles between Xbox and Win 10. Just make sure
it is play anywhere.

Play Anywhere is a Microsoft only thing...it is nothing to do with Steam as they are 2 completely different systems. The only crossover between them is the XBox Live account so that Gamertags can be used in Steam games....for FH5, you can't even transfer your save between Steam and MS versions

No clue how you have downloaded it on console as a Steam game is PC only....Steam doesn't work on consoles.

Regarding it not stating it in any place, that is not quite correct...in the "How does Play Anywhere work" section of the Play Anywhere page, it states:

"When you buy an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game through the Xbox Store or the Microsoft Store, it’s yours to play on Xbox and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost"
