Xbox play anywhere and DLC/Games spread across accounts

A few years ago, me and a family member bought both the base game of forza horizon 3 as well as all of the DLC as a package a few months later. Issue is, they were purchased on different microsoft accounts, the DLC being on mine and my family member's the base game. I tried to do Play Anywhere as somewhat of a nostalgia trip, but I found my personal account only had the DLC without the base game. This wasn't a problem when I played on xbox, as we had family sharing enabled so I had access to the game. From what I could find, there's no equivalent of family sharing like on xbox with play anywhere on PC. I'm stuck not being able to play the game I purchased, and just scroll through the DLC. Even if I wanted to re buy the game, it's discontinued on the Microsoft store. Any ideas?

Play Anywhere just means you can buy the game on console and play it on PC or vice versa...it is still restricted to a single account though.

As you have realised, FH3 was discontinued from the store last September. There's no official way to get the game on PC/laptop as I don't believe they sold the game for PC on disc. Your only option is to find a code for it from a 3rd party site (and, mods, I am not discussing piracy here) though whether the code would be genuine is a different matter

You can play the game you just cant install the HD pack. This has also been spread across the web like a viral video its not new information anywhere including where you posted this you can find many threads that let you know this. Sorry man.

I was really happy to see that when I linked my Movies Anywhere account in the Movies & TV app on my PC that it also linked on my Xbox. It's so nice to have all of my digital movies in one place rather than spread out across a bunch of different platforms.
