Let's perform troubleshooting steps on your console but please let me know if you have already performed the steps so we can proceed to the next steps needed.

If an external hard drive is plugged into your console, please unplug your external hard drive for us to determine what is causing this issue. Please do not plug in your external hard drive while we perform troubleshooting steps.

Please follow the steps to Power Cycle your Console:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Once done, kindly check if you will encounter the same issue. If the issue persists, please continue performing troubleshooting steps on your console.

Please follow these steps but don't worry; you won't lose anything as long as your console is connected to the internet. Please be reminded that resetting your console will remove the accounts currently signed in on your console but you can add them back and you will need to set the account as Home Xbox if there are any.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and Keep my games & apps.

Once done, kindly check if you will encounter the same issue.

I'm going to have to agree with them. Slowing down and doing some camping is how I am starting to play now. I do better when I do that.

The new tv shouldn't affect how long your Xbox takes to perform tasks. Most of the time if it affects anything, its visuals. I do have the same slow shut down issue as you with my old Xbox. Do you have the old xbox, elite, or slim?
