Hello,

I have had the Xbox PC app downloaded for quite some time now and I am just now getting around to play some games on it. So I have not run into any trouble because of it but the "Gaming Services" has not been downloaded or installed and I have let it work
for about 4 hours now. I have tried turning my PC off and on again. Forcing the app to close and retrying the installation and ect. I have launched the app as an administrator but I cannot get it to continue after I click on install. The picture I have attached
is what it has been doing every time I click install.

Thank you! This solved part of the problem. The other problem which was told to me by Windows was that I was installing it to my hard drive which does not have Windows installed. I had to put it on the drive where Windows was installed.

What exactly does this message about drives say exactly? Perhaps you could post a picture?

The Windows Store - which Game Pass uses to install Game Pass games - should allow you to use any of your drives. My PC has four drives, three internal and one external and they can all be used to install games. Most of my games are installed on my third
drive which is a 2TB SSD.

Try reinstalling Gaming Services using the following steps:

Launch PowerShell as an administrator and copy and paste the following command: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
In the same PowerShell window, copy and paste the following command: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt if or when shown.

It seems you have already exhausted all the troubleshooting steps. Based on the error codes, your Xbox app update has been corrupted.

As for last resort, I would recommend you reformat the C: Drive where the Windows was installed then once it's done, proceed to download the Xbox app.

Before you proceed with your reformat, make sure to back up your files.

Hello Dylan, let’s try to confirm if Gaming Services is installed on your PC.

For this, verify if all the Xbox services are running on your PC:

Search Services using the Windows search functionality and look for the next services once you open the app:

IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

Then do this for each service: Right-click on it and select Properties. In Startup type make sure it’s set to Automatic.
If the service isn’t started, click Start Click Apply and OK to save changes, restart your PC and try again.
