XBOX PC GAMEPASS: I can't install a game on my USB harddrive

Can you double check if the D: drive is already formatted as NTFS?

I ask this because most of the Xbox PC games has this requirement

Do it opening File Explorer > my computer > right click on D: drive > properties > next to file system

If everything looks good, try Reinstalling Gaming Services using powershell command

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Restart the PC and Open the Xbox application.



A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom:

"This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"

Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again

Thank you for reply, after resetting my console I realized every game and app stored on my harddrive won't work and i can't install games on my harddrive but the issue seems to be my harddrive, which is a Xbox harddrive. Not sure if you guys can still
help me or recommend who i can ask for help.

I can't install games to my harddrive anymore. It starts installing and then tells me the disk is unreadable.

So what if you install them to a harddrive and your Gamepass expires but you keep your xbox off line.

I have gamepass installed on my PC, but when i try to play it using cloud gaming on the same PC my save is not there, both appear to be running version 1.5.. any ideas?

Cloud gaming uses a xbox one to run the games, so it can't sync the saves
