XBox PC Beta - Games Stopped Launching

I purchased the GamePass and installed The Outer Worlds which ran fine on my pc. I then left the game for a few days and when I tried to relaunch it the game will not start up.

I get the "By for now - We are getting out of your way tp optimise perfomance" splash screen and then a whole lot of nothing happens.

I've tried the App Repair and Reset options. I've unistalled the Xbox App and reinstalled it. I've also tried to launch the game via the Microsoft Store. Another wierd thing is though, If I try to launch the game from the start menu it get redirected to
"Gaming Services" in the Store which is installed....but again, no game launch.

I have read through various forum posts about similar issues which eitehr end up unresolved, blame don "It's a BETA" or get resolve via some mysterious patch being applied (I am running Win 10 (1903) OS Buid: 18362.418) on an i7 with a 1060TI, 16GB RAM and
a 1tb m2 SSD. I have full admin access to the machine too....and I work in IT....and yet I can't get this thig to work. Any suggestions outside of what i have already done?

So, yea...that's only made things worse. The game downloaded, recreated the file (40gb) but now doesn't even show up as installed in eitehr store or XBOX app. just keeps offering to reinstall, does it in 10 seconds and goes backto the Install button....

What an utter [Mod Removed Profanity] at this point.

I wasn't able to delete them eventhough I took ownership in security settings of the file....aparently I need permission from the administrator, which I was logged in as!

Only way I managed to get rid of them was using a boot disk into WinPE and manually deleteing the tupid things from command line.

Awesome installation design by the geniouses at M$. I shouldn't have to subvert my own OS to delete a file I installed on my own pc using the admin account.

I'm having the same issue except mine happened during game play. I was playing Sea of Thieves with my friends and my game just crashed and won't restart.

So I tried to play The Outer Worlds and it wont launch either all I get is this error.

This is only happening with Windows games all my other games play fine.

Yes it should not be a BETA but did you tried to start the game via the
XBOX app (companion)
