Xbox PC App Wont Allow Change Drive

I can select it in the settings but not when I click the install.

Thanks for reaching out, I've tried your steps and unfortunately I still fail to change the drive I want to download games on. Anything else I can try?

Thank you for your help however I've tried everything to get the admin permissions by getting a account and ETC and it wont just work mind if you help me with the permissions too?

Please double check if the desired drive is already formatted as NTFS
Open file explorer > my computer > Right-click on the drive > properties

I ask this due to not all games supports installations on drives with a different file system

If everything looks good from there. Please try this:
Reinstall Gaming Services using powershell command

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Restart the PC and Open the Xbox application.

A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom:
"This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"

Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again

Just to confirm. Do you have existing games on that drive or not at all?

If it's the second. Are you able to see these folders in your drive?
WindowsApps
XboxGames
WpSystem

If yes, please try the next:
Press Windows + E and go to the drive
Right click on each folder and select properties > Go to the Security tab and select Advanced:

Click on Continue in the Permissions tab > Select Change > Click Advanced in the Select User or Group window, then Find now:

Select your user account and click on Ok > Click on Ok and Apply on every window and close them.

Finally add a .old next to the name. Re-select the new drive to save content via Windows Settings > System > Storage > Where new content is saved
Restart your PC and give it a new try

If the issue persists, please create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there:
