Xbox PC app will not install any games, Or move them to another drive.

I understand moving them from one drive to another wouldn't be possible, but you're saying even if it's the same exact drive it isn't? I don't understand why not if it's installed on the drive and connected to my PC and installed through the same account it should be able to recognize it. It's not like I'm moving the files from one drive to another, or trying to play it without the Xbox app. If so that's really not user friendly, blows my mind with how bad the Xbox PC app is compared to something like steam. They really don't care it seems.

1. which drive are the games installed too, it most likely chose a drive with larger amount of space available like D: or E: if these are available.

2. If it installed to another drive then follow below, no need to open any apps to do this, the following sometimes corrects the folder permissions which is the issue you are having.

3. Go to settings, system, storage, then select "change where content is stored", select the drive you installed the games too, click ok then restart pc.

4. go to settings and then to Apps then apps and features, locate the xbox beta in the list and click on it, then click move then select the drive where the games are installed and it will move the app to that drive and usually sorts the permissions out,
Restart pc and then try.

Like i say this is the only way i can think of to get it to work unless you know how to modify security settings of folders in advanced security.

go to settings, devices, storage, change where things get installed, change apps to the drive where you want them, then restart, then go to apps and features and locate the xbox beta app and move to the drive you want, then try moving the games to that
drive and launching again. if any of this makes sense that is lol.

You can't transfer space from D drive to C drive because these drives are a separate physical storage devices. You should be able to install games directly to the D:\ drive. You can move installed games and apps between drives though.

You'll need to free up some storage from your C:\ drive soon, either by moving games and apps to your D:\ drive or uninstalling unused apps or games from the C:\ drive. If you don't free up storage you won't be able to update your Windows installation.
