Xbox PC App stuck on checking for updates, can't download, cancel or pause installations.

After Windows installation after 2 hours i have no downloads in progress or pending and the problem is still there.

I'm sorry the problem still happens. If all the above steps fail to resolve this issue then I see no alternative but to reinstall the operating system. I will sent one more alternative related to reinstallation, if you don't want to reinstall, I can release the thread for another specialist to try to help you.

If you choose to follow my recommendation, the procedure to follow is different from the inplace upgrade, it acts directly on the UWP apps, which is basically a failure on your Windows. However, it doesn't keep the apps, it moves the user data to the Windows.old folder. Try to apply it and check if it solves:

Download the Windows 10 or Windows 11 ISO (choose based on the OS installed on your device)

-Open the downloaded ISO file;

-Click on the sources folder and run the Setup.exe file;

-After executing, click Yes in the User Account Control box and select the option: No thanks;

-If asked for the product key, select I don't have the product key (Windows will activate with digital entitlement after installation);

- If necessary, select the same edition of Windows installed on your computer, click Next;

- Choose Custom Installation;

- Select the partition and it will present a box stating that it will keep the data in a Windows.old folder and will not keep the applications, only personal ones.

Even if the process keeps your personal data in the C:\Windows.old folder, it is recommended that you back up your files to avoid unnecessary loss. It is worth mentioning that the applications and system settings will not be kept.

When i go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC and click Keep my personal files, is it the same thing that you recommended me earlier with reinstalling windows?

Ok it's strange, cause I have now updated my windows and the game is downloaded after all and one of the installation canceled, but the installed game doesn't open.
