    Xbox PC app not launching games or installing


    Morning all

    This started yesterday but assumed it was linked to the xbox outages at the time.

    On windows 11 i cannot install any new games and one game that was left trying to install from my last session is stuck on cancelling 0% which im unable to budge. The app has also been checking for updates endlessly although i have updated my rolledback app in the last 20 minutes to check if that helped at all.

    When i launch any game it looks to open a background process with GameLauncherHelper but nothing visable or no error message.

    Ive tried uninstalling the xbox app and reninstalling

    Installing a earlier version of the app

    Force quiting game services and reinstalling

    Multiple restarts

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as im at a loss what to try next.

    Same problem,

    Install xbox app on your pc, launch the game using this program and everything work

    you get that error because gaming services is not installed or updated, gaming services can only install and launch on standard pc architecture and not arm based devices.

    the xbox app requires gaming services to be installed to be able to download most xbox app games (gamepass games).

    Once installed, verify that the game has been updated before launching as the current version is v1.17.41

    Some games that are supposed to show up on Game Pass PC don't exist in my Xbox App.

    I just tried installing Hollow Knight since it's PC only and it launched the Hollow Knight page on my Xbox App but while on the website it says "INSTALL TO included with Game Pass" in the app it says not available. Oh and also Back 4 Blood is nowhere to be found in my Xbox app.
