XBOX PC app just downloaded 2TB of data per day and hit my usage cap of 8TB for the month...

I don't have 8TB of games installed on this computer from the Xbox app (or all other gaming apps combined.) No drive on the computer is more than 4GB. This is a problem with your app. I'm guessing it ran out of space and then tried continuously downloading game files over and over again. That shouldn't happen and will now cost me money.

That would be strange if you did not have games that would equate those number of GB taken for 4 days of inactivity. This amount of GB would be justified if any case you are playing games like Microsoft Flight Simulator | Xbox and the like. Where installation and perhaps update of the game itself needs more GB. You may try what SwordofWhedon have recommended.

I would definitely scan your computer for malware, there is absolutely no situation where any of that should happen and I've never heard of it ever happening before. It's quite possible that you have malware that's masquerading as the Xbox app

We pay an extra, lump sum, on a monthly basis to have our data cap removed (Canada).

Keep a close eye on your usage, if you have a data cap. With 3 Xboxes, 1 PS4, 4 gaming computers, tablets, cell phones, and 4 TVs streaming Netflix at the highest quality, we’ve had months just in excess of 2TB of downloaded/streamed data.
