Windows 10 Xbox One Streaming microphone not detected?

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
    or game chat.

    Hello Asa,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand you are having issues with talking to your friends when using Game Bar. Let's work on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

This issue might be caused by some settings or permissions that are preventing the game bar from running in the background. Here are some steps you can try to fix this:

    1. Check if the Xbox game bar is enabled in the Windows settings. To do this, go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar, and make sure that the toggle switch is turned on.

    2. Check your microphone settings: Make sure that your microphone is set as the default recording device on your PC. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar.
    • Select Sounds.
    • Click on the Recording tab.
    • Right-click on your microphone and select Set as Default Device.

    3. Check your privacy settings: Ensure that the Xbox Game Bar has permission to access your microphone. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
    • Click on Privacy.
    • Click on Microphone.

    4. Check your Xbox Game Bar settings: Make sure that the Xbox Game Bar is configured correctly. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
    • Click on the Settings icon.
    • Click on Audio.
    • Make sure that the correct microphone is selected under Microphone.

    5. Check your Xbox Live account settings: Ensure that your Xbox Live account settings are configured correctly. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Sign in to your Xbox Live account on this link https://account.xbox.com/en-us/Settings using your Adult account.
    • Click on Privacy & online safety.
    • Click on Xbox Live privacy.
    • Make sure that the Communicate with voice and text setting is set to Everybody.
    • Save the changes and make sure to double check if the changes were saved before closing the page.
    • Sign out and sign back in on Xbox App and try again communicate with your friends to see if it works.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. Let me know how it goes.

    Sincerely,

    xbox parties on pc

Hi DazzAI. This sure sounds a strange issue you've encountered. Now, to help you I'd like to understand better what issues you're dealing with in order.

Do you mean you had previous problems before with no voice coming out from either side of your mics? then are saying now the problem has escalated into (what seems) a more troubling suit where your party connections between your friend or friends doesn't establish
connection/therefore is saying It's still connecting, and can't get through?

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today Divided

Buddy may I know if your friend tried using a different headset to see how it goes?
By the way, is this happening only with this specific friend?

Could you ask them to try power cycling their console?

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

In case you need it, here's how to remove and re-add:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro...

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

I'll be waiting for your answers and feedback, greetings from another Microsoft user
