Xbox Party Volume Controls Disappeared In Game Bar

I always have been able to turn up and down individual peoples volume in the party via Xbox game bar. But within the last week, the party widget that usually replaces the chatbox with all my messages has just stopped appearing, meaning I can no longer adjust the volumes for people. I also can't see a way of doing it from the Xbox app itself, was it intentionally removed? Or is game bar misbehaving for me?

    Thanks

    :)

Xbox Party Volume Controls Disappeared In Game Bar

I just noticed this today after updating my app to the latest version. I have been using an older version of Game Bar for a while now and believe the party system functioned much better. Now it seems like Parties have their own pin which honestly makes things unnecessarily complicated. Before the parties were organized under an extra tab within chats. You were able to see both the party members and a live feed of text chats on one screen now you can only see one at a time. Also, the ability to adjust individual people's volume was a great feature that appears to have been removed. I have some friends with below-average mics so it was nice to be able to give them a volume boost and then I have some friends that are too loud for me so it was nice to be able to turn them down a bit without turning down the entire party of people.

I just figured out that you can right-click on individuals to adjust their volume within the new party pin. I do still prefer the way it worked before better but it's nice to know that this function was not removed entirely.

    Volume

When you stated that you checked your volume setting, does that also mean that you checked the individual bars for balancing game volume with party chat volume?

    Volume

have you tried starting a party and go into that party and checking your audio settings. i reckon you have scrolled all your game volume to mute and party chat 100 percent on the volume bar

Why cant my XBOX party hear me on PC unless Gamebar is open? my default devices settings are correct on both Xbox And Gamebar apps.

There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.
