The friends and party system is pretty rubbish at the moment, massive step back from the 360 setup.

there should be a menu that pops up when you hold the xbox button, for quickly inviting people to game or party, also the party should not be limited to the game you are playing, currently you can only invite people to play the same game as the person who
set up the party, and what's the point of making us turn on party chat all the time?

I play with a friend all the time. First we join a party for chat, then we each load up the game. Then one of us starts and then invites the other. If the invite party takes you to a screen where you choose your friend it will not work. If it just pops
up and says party invited then it seems to pull them right into the game.

Oh almost forgot, have to press and hold on the xbox logo light to power cycle system a lot to make it work.

I have this same problem as well, xbox.com is fine but on the 360 itself if I voice/text/party invite message someone NOT on my friends list it can take anywhere between 2-40 times of hitting send before the error does not pop up and it goes through. Sometimes
the party invite sent thing won't pop up so it never went through, has this happening for 2 weeks, ideas?

Reset router, unplugged xbox/router, redownloaded profile, cleared cache but still happens.

The posting was very vague in verbiage from the enforcement site:

The reason I call it a software glitch is this: I play PvE, and I play with friends. Every so often, I invite people from DestinyLFG so we can do 6 man raids. But in any case, when doing a co-op PvE, no one bashes anyone. We're supportive of each other,
that's the only way to get through a raid successfully, and without wanting to tear out your hair.

There was a point, though, that I wasn't getting pop-up prompts for sending out game/party invites. When this happened, I tried to send multiple invites to a few people; reason being, some people I messaged after sending an invite to said they never got
the game/party invite. This is where I feel the glitch lays. The invite system was acting up, and someone may have perceived my multiple invites as spam, thus reporting me. But without a pop-up prompt, I don't know if the invites actually sent or not.

It seems lots of people are having the same issue. You still get pop-ups when people send you a message, or invite you to a game but you no longer get notifications when friends log on on xbox.
