    Xbox party chat - Cannot be heard


    Hi all,

    I'm having issues being heard in party chats. I got a new controller but when I plug in the headphones (which work on another controller that I've had to replace -faulty left stick), I can hear my friends in the party but they can't hear me. I know the headphones
    work and I know the mic works as I can be heard with the voice commands on sites like Youtube so I know it is specific to the party itself. I have done all the troubleshooting steps that I have seen in multiple other threads:

    Nobody is muted including me.

    Rebooted the controller/console.

    Signed out and in.

    Assigned the profile to the controller and removed the profile also.

    Went into Settings and there are no blocks.

    When I plug the headset into the broken controller it works fine so I know its not a profile issue or a headset issue and because the new controller and headset work on Youtube it is not an issue with the new controller.

    Any ideas? I don't want to have to buy any additional add ons with the hope that they MIGHT fix the issue.

    Mister Mascot, I am part of preview program and cannot be heard in game chat.. parties are fine and I can hear players in game chat I just cannot be heard and I am using the normal xbox one headset

    Hi Austin,

    You can try contacting the game developers for more information about their in-game chat issues, but as I said previously, Xbox Live party chats effectively mutes in-game chat from being heard in the party. If you are recording the gameplay from your Xbox,
    the streaming program will not pick up in-game chat because in-game chat cannot be heard when in an Xbox Live party. In an Xbox Live party, you will not be able to hear other players in the game lobby unless you invite those player into the party. Other players
    will also not be able to hear you in-game while you are in an Xbox Live party. This is by design and not an issue and I don't think there is a setting to change that. You can test this by trying another communication program like Discord.

    I hope this clears things up.

    Using Kinect I cannot be heard using gamechat, only party chat. Yet the Kinect works on every other game. Is there a solution? Its frustrating.
