    Xbox overheats and switches off but only with one game


    Hi, I’m playing return to moria for series x and about 30-45 mins it just cuts off saying my xbox is overheating but this never happens with any other game, could somebody pls give me an idea as to what to do? Cheers

    we need to report the bug to the developers so it can be investigated

    Can I cover my Xbox One in energy-saving power mode?

    Also once the console has shut down make sure you unplug it from the mains power.

    This will prevent accidental switch ons. If the console was switched on accidentally while covered it will overheat

    I have noticed it doesn't seem to happen if I switch to TV before turning it off but I do get it if I switch it off from inside a game, only one account on my xbox.

    It's only this game i play it and it will randomly overheat i take care of this Xbox. My only other question would be could it be just this copy of the game?
