    Xbox Overheating and Shutting Down during 2-4 Player Rocket League


    My Xbox One works flawlessly playing Rocket League with one player. When I connect multiple players, the system eventually shuts down and feels very hot. It is fairly well ventilated but had the issue even when super well ventilated.

    Potential solutions? Xbox in for repair?

    I buyed Rocket League 2 years ago as code and played it very often

    and want to play it.

    2 Weeks ago i wanted to test Forza Horizon4 and joined Gamepass. Then i canceles gamepass. Today i wanted to play Rocket League and i cant start it anymore. and get the message feo the topic. I cannot statrt it offline and not online. i reseted completely
    my console and reinstalled rocket league 2 times. it does not start. i dont want to buy gamepass only to play my already buyed rocket league.

    please help me.

    Borderlands the Handsome Jack Collection for xbox one is 4 player splitscreen I believe. Rocket League is also 4 player splitscreen.

    Also if this is still believed to be wrong to contact others gamers in a LFG in regards to using the in game trading system. Then the Rocket League LFG should be shut down, or reformed because this is 99% of what is on there

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    It would be best if we will create another profile. I got you the link for the step-by-step guide on how to play both Dirt 5 and Rocket League.

    To play two-player split-screen on Xbox, please do as follows:

    1) Ensure that both controllers are recognized by the console and that the Xbox symbol light is lit on both (Series S and X users may have to plug the second controller into the front USB port). You will need to have at least two users (Gamertags) created on your console and a controller assigned to each.

    2) Once in the game press the View button on the second controller and choose the Gamertag (which must be different from player one). You should see a message saying the player has joined the game.

    3) Go to the arcade option of the game. If Time Trial is greyed out then the game has registered that there are two players wishing to play. If it is not greyed out repeat step 2)

    4) Choose Freeplay, set up the options you want for the game, and then start the game. You should have two-player mode enabled.

    Perform the steps below once you have the Rocket League launched using Player 1.

    1) Connect all controllers

    2) Player 2: Log in with Player 2's Xbox Live account or guest account

    3) Launch Rocket League

    is it actually telling you it's overheating or is the system just shutting down? System shut downs are to prevent data corruption and not overheating, it's a program error
