Great business model Microsoft have, every year you pay almost as much as the xbox cost for maintenance.

After 14 months the hard drive failed, then 11 months later the HDMI port failed. I got the hdd fixed in the UK at half the microsoft price, I am not paying microsoft for anything on this machine.

The fault is present with 3 HDMI cables and 2 screens which suggests it is in the XBOX rather than cables or screens.

4. Keep holding the Sync button, until the troubleshooting menu appears.

5. Select the option "restore this xbox" and choose keep my games and apps.

If your console is not a digital version (Has the disc reader)

1. Turn off your Xbox completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Unplug it from the wall, wait for 1 minute, and plug it back.

2. Press and hold the Sync and Eject buttons.

3. Press the power button, and keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons together.

4. Keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons, until the troubleshooting menu appears.

5. Select the option "restore this xbox" and choose keep my games and apps.

Also, you could try using another HDMI cable to test it out.
