    Xbox One + Xbox Series X Issue


    I have an Xbox One with multiple purchased games and an Xbox Live subscription. Yesterday, we purchased an Xbox One X to put the older console in my son’s room. Initially, I made the Xbox One X (new) as my home Xbox but it was causing issues with him playing games purchased previously, so I signed into the Xbox One and made that the home Xbox for my account and he has been able to play anything. The issue we are having now is the new Xbox Series X came with the game Forza Horizon 5. On my account, I am able to play fine - but if someone else signs into this Xbox to play it won’t let them. The error message comes up about the user who purchased the game needs to sign in. Same thing for other games on the new Xbox, such as Fortnite. It won’t let anyone play unless they are signed into my account. What can I do here to avoid this? The Xbox that the Forza game came on should be able to be accessed by all.

    Series X name is destined to cause issues, both for sales and legally.

    I don't think it'll be that big on an issue since it's not Xbox One Series X just Xbox Series X. I did wish it was called Xbox Infinite though.

    No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

    The "One" and "Series" are the console types.

    Which specific Xbox do you have? A Series X or a One X? If you have the One X then the Xbox One version doesn't release till April so, if you've pre-ordered for that, then that would be why. If you've got a Series X, then that's a different issue

    There appears to be an issue with the Xbox Series X/S version of Grand Theft Auto V being compatible with the Xbox One Xbox One X version. Therefore, the Xbox Store may not allow you to purchase the Xbox Series of the game if you have an Xbox One.

    Buy the Xbox One version of Grand Theft Auto V. This version of the game is compatible with Xbox One X and is cheaper than the Xbox Series X/S version. I'm not sure but I think it's no longer available to buy in the store.

    If you decide to upgrade your Xbox One X to an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you can do so through the Xbox Store or an authorized retailer.

    I’m not sure how to reach these settings, but I’m quite certain it is not an issue with my router. My series x has worked for months before now, and all other devices on the network are working, including my Xbox one and Xbox one x. I have been having this issue since roughly the time that my series x last updated, is it possible that the issue is an overlooked bug in the series x OS?
