    I have an Xbox One. My friend, an Xbox 360. We've been trying to play games that are backwards compatible on my Xbox One, and for whatever reason, crossplay is absolutely horrible. It works perfectly fine when an Xbox One plays with another Xbox One using
    backwards compatible games, but when a One tries to play with a 360, several problems appear.

    In Call of Duty games, specifically MW2 and MW3, there are distinct desync issues in Special Ops games. Lag is not the problem. The two differing consoles seem to go different paths during Special Ops. On a wave-clearing match, I'd make my way to Round 10
    or so, while my friend on their Xbox 360, who is on the same game as me, is still on Round 1. So far we have not been able to complete a single Special Ops mission without losing due to desync.

    This has never happened when I have played the same games and matches with friends who have an Xbox One.

    In Halo: Reach, when playing missions with my Xbox 360 friend on Campaign mode, an error saying "An error occurred during co-op play." spontaneously appears and boots us both from gameplay back to the lobby, losing all our progress on the missions we were
    playing and making us start over. This happens seemingly without cause and at complete random, sometimes occuring more than twice in ten minutes.

    These errors are on Xbox Live's end and the issues are abysmal and are ruining the experience.

    Please, tell Microsoft to fix their unreliable, faulty products. I just want to play with my friends without them having to spend $400 bucks for a white misshapen brick that will only have two games on it.

    Do you mean crossplay as one person on Xbox 360 and one on XBOX one - Don't expect any cross-platform play between Xbox 360 and Xbox
    One. ... Your Xbox Live account on 360 will carry over to Xbox One.
    That same account will work on both platforms.

    If you mean xbox 360 games compatible to play on xbox one then there is a whole list of games that are compatible

    as Theory of Game said, you cant crossplay between platforms, but backwards compatibility will give you the ability to play xbox 360 games on your xbox one, the different platforms use different servers and they both have other features that the older games
    might not have, there are some games that uses crossplay I think, but not that I think of. so short answer, can I play xbox one games with 360 players ? no you cant, can I play 360 games on my xbox one with 360 players ? yes you can. hope we were able to help

    xbox series s and x are crossplay with pc, xbox one is not as stated in all of EA's documentation, they stated that xbox one and ps4 are not crossplay with pc but they are with each other, only those on pc, xbox series s/x and ps5 are fully crossplay, this is why you cannot invite each other.

    World of Tanks will also allow you to play crossplay between Xbox 360 & Xbox One players. It's probably the only game that is not backward compatible that allows play between both consoles.
