Xbox One X wouldn't turn off so I unplugged it and when I went to plug it back in it sparked?

Don't worry too much in the spark since you have mentioned that your console is not warm at all unless the spark creates smoke or smelled burnt inside the device.

Use a different power outlet to plug your console's power cable and check if it works.

However If it does smelled burnt, in that case turn off the console, unplug the power cable and proceed to create a free repair warranty order by signing your account and registering your console serial number:

If the console does not turn on, try to reset your console internal power supply as it may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cord from the console.

Wait 10 seconds.

Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the front of the console.

Check that the wall outlet you’re using is working with other devices.

Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and to your console.

Ensure that you're using the power cable which came with your console, and that it's the correct cable for your region.

Thanks for your awnser! Glad to hear so. Though when i just shut down my xbox it wouldn't turn off. I tried to manualy do so and and the screen popped back on but wouldn't respond.. So i pulled out the plug and plugged it back in to get it back working again..
This happened after i went to the home screen after playing gta and turning off my device with my controler.. Is this a common problem? Did i do something wrong..? Or is there really something wrong with my xbox?

I just cancelled the installation and then turned off the console. Then I unplugged it for a minute and plugged it back in. When I installed it, it went a lot faster!

I had the same issue. Just turn off the Xbox, unplug it (because I guess even when it's turned off it isn't truly "off" unless it's unplugged).

When you plug it back in and turn it back on the reset/uninstall steps should work.

Slight update, it changed to the white light with no flashing for a split second. It was unplugged from my laptop but it wouldn't turn off, so I plugged it back in, and then it changed back to slow flashing orange light.
