Xbox One X won’t turn on my Vizio soundbar

hard reset and power cycle.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console, Reset and keep games and appsto
help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles. After setting up the console, retry the steps mentioned by XBF Diego - "Go to Settings>Power & startup>Power
mode and startup>TV & A/v power options>Set up audio receiver>WHEN XBOX TURNS ON, SEND>ON."

Try this out and let us know the results.

Thank you for coming to the forums. It does seem like the Xbox has the correct IR codes for your sound bar since it can send it remote commands except turning it on. The Xbox will only turn on the sound bar when the Xbox turns on and the sound bar is off
if you have set up the sound bar in the start up power options. Have you set remote commands for the Xbox to send an ON command when the Xbox turns on?

Go to Settings>Power & startup>Power mode and startup>TV & A/v power options>Set up audio receiver>WHEN XBOX TURNS ON, SEND>ON.

If that doesn't help, go ahead and do a
hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox. and set up the remote commands again.

Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. I’ve noticed the Xbox isn’t turning the TV on or off now either. So to recap, the xbox will turn the soundbar off and adjust the volume and no longer do anything to the tv.

The Xbox did not previously have this issue with the same tv.

To answer your question, I would totally try a soft factory reset. As provided by @

XBF Crystal P just make sure that you know all the sign in information for all your gamertags and that you have a good internet connection.

When you get a chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped.
