    Xbox One X wont turn my soundbar on


    My Xbox one X will not turn my yas 207 soundbar on when it turns on but the xbox will turn the soundbar off when it turns off regardless of whether i have the soundbar set to toggle or not. It is set up with an hdmi connecting my xbox to the sound bar and
    an hdmi connecting my soundbar to my tv ARC slot. any idea on how i can get it so my xbox will turn my soundbar on when it turns on...or at the very least prevent my xbox from turning the sound bar off so it is just always on?

    X1 not turning my sound bar on or off since new update!!!

    Same here my xbox will turn off my vizio soundbar and control volume but it wont turn it on! Everything was fine before the update...

    Xbox one s not sincing with soundbar properly (old xbox one is fine)

    I just purchased an xbox one s and during the setup in device control under tv&one guide I program in my soundbar (Samsung HW-F450) so that it turns on and off automatically with the xbox, However it doesn't seem to program properly. Under device power options
    I have it set to "Toggle" for both when the xbox turns on or off. This does nothing when you turn the xbox on or off except it turns the soundbar off if it is already on when you turn the xbox on (Soundbar does not turn on when xbox is turned on).

    I have tried programing in the soundbar both by typing in the model number and by the guided setup (in the guided setup xbox sends mute command to soundbar, the soundbar picks it up and I confirm)

    I then reprogrammed in the soundbar into my original xbox one just to check if it works and it functioned just fine (turned on and off with xbox).

    I can see that the IR port on the xbox one s (if I look through my camera at it) IS trying to send a command (blinks red) when I turn my xbox one s on and off, however it doesn't effect the soundbar (only shuts it off if its on already when you turn on the
    xbox).

    I do have my Samsung tv programmed in to turn on and off with the xbox one s and that works fine.

    My guess is possibly the One s has the incorrect remote codes programmed in for this particular soundbar (maybe others), or is my One s defective

    Happy to help troubleshoot if you are still running into issues with this.

    If you route the console directly to the TV and then go from the TV to the sound bar do you see a difference?

    Is your console set to instant on or power save mode in the power settings?

    Also, are does the sound bar have its own power settings of any kind?

    Xbox One X setup with Soundbar

    Just wondering what's the best way to setup my xbox, TV & Soundbar.

    At the minute my xbox one x is connected to LG TV via hdmi and the TV and Yamaha Soundbar via hdmi (arc). Just wondering if it'd be better to connect the xbox to the Soundbar instead of TV (and leave the TV Soundbar connection via Arc as is).

    It doesn't do ATMOS but does do surround and DTS.

    IMO this is already the best scenario possible.

    The first thing you must know is that every device have an inevitable input lag, the game mode in modern TV help to reduce it by turning off some image enhancement.

    If you connect the Xbox One to the Soundbar, you may risk to add input lag because you have another device that must elaborate and pass video to the tv that can elaborate the video too.

    I'm using an Xbox One X directly connected to a Samsung Q9FN 55" and a 7.1 audio system connected to HDMI ARC, my audio/tv don't support Dolby Atmos, but all works fine.

    The power to the N1 Soundbar is in no way related to the power to the Xbox One console. If you want the Soundbar off when you turn your console off, you will just have to do this manually. If it automatically turns it back on, just unplug the Soundbar when
    you're not using it.

    I have the same problem with My xbox one x and 950 soundbar. I get audio delay once I enable Dolby atmos via the audio settings on my hdmi, but the soundbar works great with all other devices, cable TV, apple TV 4k. I've literally tried everything and
    I'm thinking is has something to do with the Dolby atmos application. I've used optical and other sources and they sound good, obviously not Dolby atmos but they work. I don't think it's my TV or soundbar. I've also replaced the xbox one x to a new xbox one
    x and same issue. It has to be a bug in the atmos connection from the speakers to the xbox. It's super frustrating. Not sure what else to do until I new update comes out.
