Xbox One X won't add profile after factory reset

My Xbox One X simply stopped allowing me to sign in today, despite having zero problems for the last month. I just bought it, but I'm reconsidering my purchase due to what appears to be a common and unfixable issue with adding a profile.

I have tried resetting the Xbox several times, then resetting the Internet as well, and finally doing a factory reset on the console. I updated it, I ran the network diagnostics, I unplugged it from everything for a while and tried again. It just gives me a screen with a little circle, like it's working on something, then goes back to the sign in screen. No error message, no indication of the problem, just an endless loop of frustration. At this point, I've got a bunch of games I bought that I can't play, nor get refunds for, and a defective console that doesn't do much of anything.

Can this issue be fixed, and if so, how? I'm probably going to return it on the warranty and at least get my money back for the console, and go buy something from another manufacturer if I can't fix the problem. No point buying another defective console from the same place.

Hi,

A couple of things you could try, is firstly by deleting your profile from your xbox console, and the re-adding it: Add and remove
profile

If that doesn't work then it might be worth giving you xbox a factory reset, but without deleting the games:

When you do the factory reset, its important to choose the option 'Reset and keep my games & apps.' so that way you won't lose any of your games or apps

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems with your console, is it the Original Xbox One, Xbox One S or the Xbox One X?

Go ahead and attempt to
Remove and then Add your account back on the console then give it another try. If the issue persists then I would advise you attempt to

Reset Console and keep games and apps. By doing this you are performing the Factory Reset to the console but it won't remove any of your games or apps that you have installed on the console.
