Xbox One X won't accept disc, same after replacing the BD drive.

So last week my Xbox One X stopped accepting and rejecting discs. No grinding, no spinning, acts like nothing is there at all. I tried all the troubleshooting steps found online and even tried cleaning it with q-tips and compressed air. Nothing helped. So
i replaced the disc drive (moved the daughter board from the old to the new drive) and am still getting the same issue.

Any find a solution for this?

If you got a new Xbox now i would get the one x, but be sure you get any extra warranties and but digital because the bd disc drives are cheap and die quickly. I am on my second xb1 and the disc drive is crapping out already (xbox one x). The games are
great, xbl is great and i like the game pass, but the physical disc drive is garbage and will most likely for on you after a year or two.

I take it Blu-Ray disc movies are working okay? Have you tried many of the ones you own? Games are detected?

Bear in mind that the Xbox One S, One X and the current Series X actually have two lasers, one for reading DVD discs (including Xbox 360 discs) and one for reading Blu-Ray discs, which also includes Xbox games as they are also on BD-Disc.

If the DVD laser is giving out, it won't read certain DVD discs, and this is likely the reason for the issues you are experiencing. This is also why Blu-Rays and Xbox One games are not effected. There is nothing wrong with your DVD's, it's the console's optical drive that is faulty.

Scarlet will utilize the same disc drive(UHD BD) as the current Xbox One S/X.

I know we are moving to an "all digital" future, but I don't think that will happen with consoles for a few more years yet... at least I hope not, I enjoy buying physical.

It won't even take the disc, so reading is NOT the issue.

I had the exact same issue with my first Series X after 3 months of purchase. Mine was replaced on warranty. You should try to get a replacement or get it repaired on warranty if applicable.

If the warranty has expired it will need repairing because the drive has failed.
