Xbox One X - Video Rendering Issue - Hardware related

Hope y'all are having a good Wednesday first and foremost.

I have an under warranty Xbox One X that has been having video rendering issues. When running video applications (YouTube, YouTube TV, and Hulu) I would receive a flashing green image with a paused frame from the video repeatedly until the screen turns full
green. Audio continues to play, but the video never recovers.

When running games the video does render, but I receive periodic static flashes for a frame or two every minute or so.

I have attempted to troubleshoot and will list here. More about what I am attempting to run:

    • Xbox One X at 4K 60HZ, also attempted running at lower resolutions of 1080p.
    • Have attempted on both a 4K TV and a 4K monitor with similar results.
    • I am using an updated HDMI 2.2 cable that is capable of the data throughput needed for 4k 60HZ.
      • I have also attempted 4 different HDMI 2.2 cables.
    • I have attempted, successfully, running other 4K devices on both Monitor and TV to remove them from being a problem in the equation.
    • PS4 Pro - ran successfully in 4K with video renders and game renders
    • Windows 10 PC - ran successfully in 4K with video renders and game renders
    • Preformed a reset, twice, on the Xbox One X with no affect. (tried both keeping and removing apps)
    • Turned off, waited 30 seconds, and unplugged Xbox One X with no affect after restarting Xbox.

I am out of troubleshooting ideas and believe that the console needs warranty work. After trying to submit a ticket online and the service online not working, I figured I would at least attempt to post here before attempting to find Microsofts support number
    to call them.

As a side note this issue has happened since owning the console, but after using the Xbox Live chat feature on the Microsoft Support site it was resolved. I was directed to do the resets and each time (twice before) it resolved the issue. This is why I believe
it probably needs repair/warranty work done to it.

    :)

I did make sure that my console is registered so good to go there. I keep having difficulties attempting to submit a service request online though. Every time I click on doing a support request the page just continously reloads and provides this response,
"Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again."

Is there another way that I may submit a ticket to them for support?

I'm terribly sorry to hear this. It sounds to me like you've eliminated every potential source of the problem with the exception of the console itself.

You'll need to contact Microsoft directly and I don't believe they take incoming calls any longer. You will need to submit a ticket and have them call you back.

The first step, which I suspect you've already taken, would be to ensure that your console is registered here:

    https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/console-warranty

I hope this is resolved quickly and you're back to gaming soon!

Titanfall Right Thumbstick Movement Issue (New)

Well that worked. I can't imagine how my network issues could cause lag/video rendering issues for motion related to just one axis of game play (right thumbstick) but... it worked! Thanks.

Sky bug in xbox series x

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

Based on your description and the images you provided, it seems that you are experiencing graphical artifacts in the sky when playing certain games on your Xbox Series X console. This issue may be related to the game itself or to the console's hardware or software.

One possibility is that the issue is related to the game's graphics rendering. It is possible that the game's engine is not optimized for the Xbox Series X, or that there is a bug in the game's code that is causing these artifacts. You may want to check if the games have any available updates, as these may include bug fixes that address this issue.

Another possibility is that the issue is related to the Xbox Series X console itself. It could be a hardware issue or a software issue. If the issue only occurs with certain games and not others, this may suggest that it is not a hardware issue. You may want to try resetting your console or clearing the cache to see if this resolves the issue.

It is also possible that the issue is related to the graphics card in the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series X uses an AMD graphics card, so it is possible that there is a compatibility issue between the game and the graphics card. This may be more likely if you are not experiencing the issue on your PC with an NVIDIA graphics card.

If you continue to experience this issue, you may want to contact Xbox support or the game's developer for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific advice or troubleshoot the issue further.

Will the new Xbox Two be 100% Cloud Gaming?

Until they announce their console lineup during E3, everything is purely rumors and speculation.

However, as the rumor kitchen already talks about multiple console models including a more powerful one, like the One X compared to the "standard" consoles, you can be sure that this model will do the processing work locally. It wouldn't make sense to sell
a very expensive console with powerful hardware, and then have everything game related rendered in the cloud.

But, there are also talks about a less powerful console, which might be a cloud only console, so they can sell an extremely cheap hardware console, that only has a few video decoder chips inside, and the cloud does the heavy lifting for rendering the game.

So, I'd guess for this console generation you'll still be able to enjoy your games without any cloud shenanigans.
