    I usually have my Xbox One X set to instant on. I watched HULU last night and I turned it off without issue. When I came home the console was OFF. I had to press the button on the console to turn it on. The system turns on, the 4k thing comes up, the
    green screen with the Xbox logo comes up and it starts loading. The image freezes and instantly turns off before the operating system can get to the dashboard. I unplugged it for 10 seconds and try again. I've done this several times actually. The issue persists.
    I have no idea what to do. Xbox Support is only available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm? How is that helpful? I work a full time job. Does anyone have any advice or know how to fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox freezing in the green
    screen. Now, what we suggest is a reset of the console since the problem that is causing this could be in the OS of the console so we suggest a
    Soft Factory Reset(while
    keeping games and apps) Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
    • Since the console is not responding properly by providing the different menus. We are going to approach this differently.

    Try this if you are unable to reach the settings menu:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    3. Press and hold the
      BINDbutton (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
      EJECTbutton (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xboxbutton on the console.
    4. Continue holding the
      BINDand
      EJECTbuttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BINDand
      EJECTbuttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
    7. Select Reset this Xbox
    8. Select Reset this Xbox and Keep Games and Apps

    Give it a shot and let us know the results.
    I followed your instructions however the controller won't sync to the xbox for me to select anything and then the console turns off. How do I select the reset option without the controller?

    I tried this with my ones but when it says xbox is powering up it shuts down. however that is the longest amount of time it has stayed on
