Xbox One X starts automatically when my tv is turned on

Hi.

My Xbox one x console is connected with an hdmi cable to my smart tv (Samsung 65KS8090). I can use the smart remote control of my tv to interact with my xbox console. This works fine.

The problem is, as soon as I turn on my tv, the xbox console is turned on, too.

Is there an option to turn this "feature" off? I is pretty annoying to turn off the console every time the tv starts.

External Hard drive recommendations that turns off completely while in instant on

to be clear the settings are

Power Mode Instant On

Automatically download updates and purchases turned on

when Xbox is off, turn off storage is on

on start go to tv and wake up xbox by saying xbox on are both off.

TV on Startup?

Is there a way to start TV automatically when turning on the xbox? More specifically, I would like it to go into live TV automatically when I start the system.

Unfortunately this doesn´t help. If I turn off that feature, I can not controll the xbox anymore. I just want to prevent the xbox console to start, when I turn on the TV.

There's an option for the Xbox to automatically turn on/off the TV when it's turned on/off.

It's under Settings -> All Settings -> TV & OneGuide -> Device Control.

Go to settings and turn off your TV and One Guide to start automatically when you turn on your xbox.

This will resolve the issue (its to do with the HDMI in)

Does the xbox one automatically go into power save mode when I'm watching TV? I have my xbox one setup to turn on and off my cable box and tv through kinect commands. I just wonder how much power I'm using when just watching tv?
