Xbox one X sound stutter, popping etc

I have a one X, elite 2 controller and a razer kraken headset (wired). The Xbox is connected to the internet via ethernet, as is the tv it's connected to. Just recently the sound on everything (movies, games & parties) has started stuttering, popping, like it's cutting in and out very quickly. It's not the headset as I've used it on my PC and works fine, playing the sound through the TV also works fine. I can only assume that it's the connection to controller. Nothing I do helps and it's basically making it impossible to use. Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the console?
Reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.
In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>
Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

I appreciate your time in responding. Unfortunately, I have done this already, the issue is not with the headset. I have tried other headsets in my possession, the issue persists and must be with the console output to the controller. The same controller
and headset work perfectly with my Year One Xbox One console.

Another thing you can also try is to see if the headset has a firmware update.

Hello, cvopal. You may have a technical problem with your Corsair headset, but shall we try these troubleshooting steps.

On your Xbox One, go to Profile & system and click settings. Next, go to General and scroll over to volume & audio output. Go over to Headset audio and adjust the settings to match your Corsair headset.
